“The Boss” Rebecca is world famous for her assistance videos on the Ranunculus pattern by Midori Hirose- come to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and share in the experience with her!
Whether it is your first Ranunculus or your tenth, pick out some beautiful yarn and learn from the best.
Classes on the Ranunculus in the morning, yarn related activities all afternoon! Envelop yourself in a weekend of creativity.

*knowledge of basic knit and purl stitches are the only thing needed. I’d love to do an intro to knitting retreat sometime soon!

Before the fun gets started: September 18Meet & Greet
Friday night before the fun begins, come to an optional meet & greet at the shop. We’ll have classic southern fried chicken and sides (Bojangles anyone?); its a time to share, make introductions, and maybe get a jump on the shopping!
Can’t make this? No worries! There will be time to meet and shop Saturday as well.

Day One: September 19Saturday at Sun Dragon
More introductions, and classes begin! all full days of the retreat will have Ranunculus class and knit time in the morning, with optional activities in the afternoon. You are always welcome to stay in the “Living Room” and craft!

Day Two: September 20Sunday at Sun Dragon
The shop is closed to all but retreat-goers Sunday & Monday, a true special experience! You have the run of the shop and the staff are here to help. More Ranunculus time in the morning, and a special session of Rebecca’s Fix Your Mistakes class in the afternoon if you’d like to attend.

Day Three: September 21Monday at Sun Dragon
Once again we are on our own at the shop! More instruction on the Ranunculus in the morning, and a great time to get assistance on any projects you’re bringing with you and have all your questions answered in the afternoon. As we end our time together, it’s also a great time to snag a personalized shopping experience, spend time with fellow retreat-attendees, and get your fill of all Brevard has to offer!

How It Works-
Sign up and pay the deposit or your whole retreat fee. You can choose to pay the remaining amount in 2 installments. See the Frequently Asked Questions for refund and cancellation policies.

As the retreat nears, we'll send you a Welcome Packet with everything you need to know—detailed schedules, lodging and food recommendations, and more.

We'd recommend booking your transportation to and from the event as soon as possible, to ensure you can arrive without any complications or delays. We also recommend travel insurance in case of illness or family emergency

Now all that's left to do is pack your bags and get excited for your new adventure. Be sure to save room on the way out for your essential travel projects and the way back for your Sun Dragon goodies!

Sun Dragon is located in Brevard, North Carolina: we are in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the western end of the state. Transylvania County is known as “theLand of Waterfalls” and home to Dupont Forest, Pisgah Forest, and Gorges state park. The area is known for hiking, cycling, breweries and more!
The county has many Bed & Breakfast, Air B&B, VRBO and hotel options

The closest airport to Brevard is Asheville, NC: a 30 minute drive and a fairly straight route. The next closest is Greenville-Spartanburg, SC, at just under an hour and a half, with a little more mountain driving.

Attendees are responsible for their own transportation and lodging, as well as dinners.

We are striving to make this retreat a special, small community experience. The retreat is full once we have 10 participants.
We will start a wait list if the retreat reaches maximum capacity, and contact you if a spot opens up.
The retreat will officially run once we have a minimum of 5 participants.

Click either of the “register” buttons on this page to go to the payments page. You need to pay a $100 non-refundable deposit to secure your place. The rest of the retreat fee can be paid in 2 installments on August 1 and September 1.

You can pay the whole retreat fee when you register, or pay over time.
A $100 non-refundable deposit payment is required at the time you reserve your spot. The remainder of the fee is paid in two installments on August 1 and September 1.

If you are unable to make the retreat, the $100 deposit is non-refundable.
100% refund of remaining payments up to 60 days before the retreat (July 25)
50% refund of remaining payments for cancellation 60-30 days before the retreat (July 26-August 22)
No refunds within 30 days of the event.
Waitlist: If the retreat is sold out and your spot can be filled from our waitlist, we will issue a full refund (minus a $150 administrative fee) regardless of the date.
Transfers: You may sell or transfer your ticket to a friend, provided you notify us of the name and any dietary change at least 14 days before the event.

If the retreat does not move forward due to lack of participation (minimum 5 attendees), all deposits and additional payments will be refunded.
Force Majeure: If we must cancel the event due to “acts of God” (natural disaster, unforeseen damage to the shop, pandemics, etc), tickets will be rolled over to a rescheduled date rather than refunded.
