For those of you who learned to knit "English Style" (yarn held in your right hand, "throwing" your yarn around the needle), come try out Continental Style (yarn held in the right hand, "picking" the yarn with the needle)! Fans of Continental say it uses a minimum of motion, leading to faster knitting. We will try and discuss different ways to keep tension on the yarn and perform knit and purl stitches, including Norwegian Purl.
Supplies (not included with price of class, please buy needed supplies at Sun Dragon):
- Yarn of whatever weight you would like to learn on, I recommend worsted weight or heavier.
- Knitting needles appropriate to the weight of yarn you have selected. Straight or circular will both work, bring whichever you are most comfortable working with.
