The autumn MAL focuses on knitting: top-down, stranded colorwork yoke sweaters. We have a short list (see below) of recommended patterns, and we are going to try a couple of new things for the classes, see our guidelines below:
1) Rather than have classes be on one specific pattern, they will be on a series of topics related to top-down colorwork sweaters. The workshops will be a combination of talks from the instructor on that day's topics, question and answer session, and working with students on their projects wherever they find themselves. For example, even if you have not knit through your colorwork yoke, you may still want to attend the workshop on sleeve separation. Bring your project along!
2) We are going to be offering in-person workshops on Saturdays, and virtual versions of the same topic on Zoom on Sundays. All will have an instruction fee associated (see #4). All times are Eastern US.
3) Students can pick one of the sweaters from the short list for their project, or a pattern of their own choosing: the only guideline is it needs to be in the style of the MAL, a top-down sweater.
4) Fees: There will be 5 sessions with a different workshop topic for each. If you'd like to participate in the workshops, there will be a fee per session (virtual is $25), or one sum for all sessions ($100).
5) Schedule: Please see below for the schedule of events, only the virtual classes are listed. Return to the full calendar to see the in-person options
